Blooming Traditions

We have a number of wonderful traditions at Underhill ID starting with a weekly All-School Meeting every Wednesday at 2:00.  Each classroom takes turns leading All-School Meeting and we put an emphasis on having students lead and share as much as possible during the meeting.  All-School Meeting builds a sense of community at our school.  Children get to see each other and the adults who are part of our school community.  Children also get to practice important communication skills that will, some day, lead to talking to their high school class about their science work.  We held our first All-School Meeting yesterday and continued the UID tradition of fourth graders welcoming our incoming kindergarten students by giving them a flower.  This tradition carries through to our Fourth Grade Graduation where the kindergarten students give each outgoing student a flower they take the next step towards middle school.  Parents are always welcome at All-School Meeting and I encourage you to join us if you are available.

Sincerely,
