PTO News

Welcome back UID families.  I hope you are all ready for a fun and exciting year with the PTO.  We have some new fundraisers this year, and we hope they will be as successful as other fundraisers were.

The first fundraiser coming up is at Open House.  The PTO typically runs a silent auction during Open House with numerous items.  Last year we asked the staff to contribute to our auction, and the feedback from this was very positive.  This year we have decided to scale back the auction, and just have Staff items at our silent auction.  The auction will run as usual, but will only have Staff items.  If interested in helping with this fundraiser, please email the PTO at uidpto@gmail.com.

The next fundraiser this fall will be at Harvest Market.  The UID PTO has a booth this year at the Harvest Market, and we will be selling bags of peanuts from Texas RoadHouse.  So please come out to the Harvest Market and buy some bags from our booth.  If you are able to help at the booth, (2-3 hour shifts) please email the PTO.  The more people we can get to help, the shorter the shifts will be!

The last fundraiser that I want to tell you about is the Halloween Hustle.  Attached to the blog are the flyers with details for the actual event and for contest for the logo of the shirts.  I did want to mention that if you and your family are not runners but want to support this fundraiser, you can become either a gold or platinum sponsor.  For more information on these particular sponsorships please email us at uidpto@gmail.com and we can give you more details on how to become a sponsor.  We hope to see you all on Saturday October 5th at Mills River Park.  Will be a fun event!

We do have a PTO meeting coming up this Monday September 9th at 2:45pm.  We will have some middle schoolers to watch your kids so we hope to see you there.  Here is the agenda so you know what we will be discussing.  Sincerely, Leah Rowe PTO President
