The UID Scratch Club is starting again! I will be working with some parents to provide students the opportunity to learn computer programming.
We will be programming with a kid-focused programming language called Scratch. Scratch was developed by the Media Lab at MIT and has allowed students of all abilities and experience levels to be creative with computer programming. The Scratch club will be held on Thursday mornings from 7:15 until 8:00 starting on October 24th.

The point of this club will be for students to have fun by creating and sharing their programming work. The adults will not be "teaching code" to students. We will be facilitating a creative and supportive space where children can learn and grow with this new "language." Learn more about Scratch by watching the video below:
