On Saturday June 7, the Girls on the Run team finished their season by running a 5K at the fairgrounds in Essex.  Over 1,600 girls from schools across Vermont were in attendance!  The girls did a fabulous job!  We would like to extend a thank you to all the staff members at UID who supported the girls in this program.  We can create a bit of noise and confusion after school and we appreciate your patience.  We would also like to thank everyone who helped support our Food for Friends fundraiser.  We gathered almost 80lbs of food for the Jericho Underhill Food Shelf!

We would also like to thank the parents and families of our runners for your support.  Your prompt pickups were always appreciated.  Thank you to the Fosters for supplying us with a shady tent during the run and to everyone who shared snacks for our final celebration.  A special thank you to Leah Rowe for helping fill in when we were a bit short handed, and to Andrea Sandy for supporting the administrative end of the program.
