Flower Sale
The PTO will be selling carnations on:
Thursday May 8th from 2:15-3pm
Friday May 9th from 7:30am-noon and 2:15-3pm
A variety of colors will be available for $1 each or 5 for $3. These flowers make nice teacher appreciation or Mother's Day gifts. Current kindergarteners should plan to buy their flowers on Thursday, since they won't be in school on Friday.
PTO Challenge!
We are offering the PTO challenge again this year - this is a contest where students are asked to come up with as many words as possible, using only the letters contained in a certain phrase. If the phrase has one "T" for instance, you can only use one "T" in your words. If the phrase has three "S"s, you can use up to three "S"s, etc. Students can collaborate with family members and share words with their siblings, but cannot use technology to generate the list. Bring your lists in next week - students with the greatest number of words in each class will get a little prize. To find out the phrase, you will have to visit the PTO web site on the school's web page:
and also visit the public PTO Facebook page:

Windy Day and
Pancake Breakfast
Windy Day 2014 has been scheduled for the afternoon of Friday June 6th. We need at least 14 volunteers to make this happen! Come spend an afternoon doing crafts, teaching lessons, guiding activities, and generally having fun with nature and science! This year, we studied patterns in nature, and learned about leaves, camouflage, animal tracking, snowflakes, bird nests and bees. If you want to be part of this (no experience is necessary) contact Jessica Dion at jessica@dinosaunti.org for more information. If you can't make it but know a neighbor, family member, friend etc. who would like to spend the afternoon with kids and nature, please spread the word!
Also, The Four Winds program is supported by our delicious fund raiser, a pancake breakfast. This will take place on Wednesday, June 11th. If you can help with securing donations (picking up food from local stores, etc), or if you can help before school on that date, please contact Jessica Dion or Lauren Axelrod.. and please, put it on your calendar, and join us for homemade pancakes, bacon, coffee and juice before school on June 11th!
