Please join a walking group (parent and teacher supervised) on the first Friday of every month. Students can be dropped off at one of the three starting sites by a parent and continue their commute to school by foot. There is parking at each site if parents would like to join us. Other students who walk to school on their own are encouraged to join us along their way. We will have a crossing guard posted at the corner of Dickenson and River Road starting at 7:30 until the first bell rings. Please refer to the map and schedule attached to this mail. By walking or rolling to school, we show our support for safer routes to school. We know walking/biking is not an option for everyone, but if you don’t use the bus in the morning, please consider one of the alternate drop-offs and enjoy the benefits of being active before school.
