UID's Computer Programming Club Starts Again!

I am starting UID's computer programming club again this month for students in grades 1-4 to learn about computer programming.

We will be programming with a kid-focused programming language called Scratch. Scratch was developed by the Media Lab at MIT and has allowed students of all abilities and experience levels to be creative with computer programming.  Students will need to set up an on-line Scratch account at home to participate in the club. The Logical Lizards or “L2 club will be held on Tuesday mornings from 7:15 until 8:00 starting on January 14th.

Learn more about Scratch by clicking THIS LINK.

The point of this club will be for students to have fun by creating and sharing their programming work.  I welcome adult volunteers. We will not be "teaching code" to students.  Scratch is very We will be facilitating a creative and supportive space where children can learn and grow with this new "language."

Space in this club is limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Please follow this REGISTRATION LINK to enroll your child!
