Underhill ID chosen to field test a new assessment
UID is one of 27 schools across Vermont to field test a new assessment. As schools implement the Common Core State Standards, the Agency of Education is working with the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) to design a new annual assessment aligned to these standards. This new test will replace the NECAP assessment. Because we are field testing the SBAC, our teachers and students will receive extra practice with this computerized test. One of the very exciting features of this new assessment is its ability to adapt to each student, providing individualized questions that will give us the best information about each child's progress. The SBAC assessment will be given to students in grades three and four. To learn more about the SBAC, you can click THIS LINK. You can also find sample test items by clicking this SAMPLE ITEMS LINK.
